Scotch is at the core of a fundraiser being held by The Rotary Club of Edmonton Riverview on Saturday, May 4th, 2013 in support of the club’s local community initiatives. The evening will feature a gourmet dinner paired with scotch whiskies, a raffle and an auction.
The event is at the Royal Glenora Club (11160 River Valley Road, Edmonton) where the new chef Steve Buzak developed the evening’s menu to highlight how food flavours can complement the complexity of the scotch whiskey.
Chef Buzak has a thoughtful menu lined up, starting with artisan sausages during the reception. The dinner courses include seared Baja scallops with smoked pork belly lardons, a confit of lamb and poached apricot, plus grilled tenderloin. Dessert is an espresso dark chocolate tart followed by final course of cheese, including some local cheeses.
